One firm, one field

Cap Soins International is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and works in one defined field: personal care and elder care, for French-speaking candidates, primarily from sub-Saharan Africa.

This is not a general practice handling every kind of immigration request alike. It is a choice: employer needs in this sector are real and lasting, the occupations are poorly understood by candidates and recruiters alike, and it is the ground where false promises circulate most. Focusing means knowing the positions, the employers and the pitfalls, rather than discovering them one file at a time.

What a regulated immigration consultant is

A regulated immigration consultant is a person authorised to represent a client before the immigration authorities for a fee. That authorisation is not self-declared: it requires registration with a regulator, adherence to a code of professional conduct, professional liability insurance, and submission to a disciplinary regime.

In practice, that means three things for you.

Your contact is identifiable. A name, a registration number, a public register. You can check, at any time, before paying anything.

They are accountable for what they do. A regulated consultant carries professional liability. Where there is misconduct, there is an authority to turn to and a procedure to follow.

They cannot promise everything. The professional framework prohibits precisely what unlicensed intermediaries promise most readily: a guaranteed outcome.

The difference with an unlicensed intermediary

An unlicensed intermediary answers to no one. No insurance, no code of conduct, no authority able to sanction them. If they disappear with your money, there is no professional recourse: only a criminal complaint, in a country that is probably not yours, against a person whose first name may be all you know.

That is why verification matters more than anything else. A polished website, an office, photographs, a reassuring manner: none of that is a guarantee. A registration number and a public register are.

How we work

We start by saying no when the answer is no. A profile assessment ends in a frank answer, including when that answer is that no route is workable today. A candidate allowed to believe otherwise loses money and months.

We commit to nothing without an identified employer. No file prepared "in the meantime", no fees paid against a prospect.

We write down what we undertake to do. A written retainer, read and signed before any payment, stating what is covered and what is not.

We refuse inaccurate statements. A regulated consultant cannot produce a statement they know to be false, and must end the representation if asked to. That is our position, without exception.

We never charge a candidate recruitment fees. Those costs fall to the employer. Always.

What we are not

Cap Soins International is not a public service or a government body, and acts on behalf of no government. None of our work confers any special standing with the authorities, and no immigration decision is ours to make.
